Alternatives to Fluoride

"The day is surely coming when we will be engaged in practicing preventive rather than reparative dentistry" - Dr. Greene Vardiman Black 1896

Nano-Hydroxyapatite

Dr. Jen's Toothpaste offers a 10% nano-hydroxyapatite fluoride free toothpaste sweetened with xylitol.

Arginine bicarbonate and calcium bicarbonate

L-arginine is a naturally existing amino acid that is found in most protein containing foods.  Arginine is also naturally found in saliva and is a food source for the healthy bacteria of our mouths.  The healthy bacteria will metabolize the arginine, multiply in numbers and outnumber the unhealthy bacteria.  As an oral supplement, arginine metabolism via the arginine deiminase pathway produces alkali in the form of ammonia that counteracts the effects of biofilm acidification from bacterial glycolysis.

Xylitol

Xylitol is a natural sugar substitute found in plants, including many fruits and vegetables.  It can aid in reduction of dental bacteria activity.
